Brief note on the Ukraine biolabs
In 2021, the average Per Capita GDP (PPP) of the European NATO nations was roughly 40053.57. (We exclude the NATO members USA and Canada here — since they are not in Europe).
In comparison, let’s look at the 2021 Per Capita GDP (PPP) of three non-NATO European nations:
Belarus: 19100 (roughly 48% of European NATO average)
Russia: 27200 (roughly 68% of European NATO average)
Ukraine: 12900 (roughly 32% of European NATO average)
Previous post on that here; please also visit the data dashboard, which has the visualizations, data sets, sources, and so on.
Ukraine is one of the poorest nations in Europe, despite the promises of the Western-supported Orange Revolution in 2004 to root out corruption, and so on. Ukraine’s relative level of poverty is established fact.
So now in less than a week, a conspiracy denounced by the USA government and a spokesperson for the EU is an established fact: Ukraine was operating biolabs, and those labs pose a potential large scale hazard if the contents go unsecured.
How does such a poor nation afford to run these biolabs, particularly it has now been confirmed these labs were NOT being used for conventional public health or medical research?
