Mocking the Covid Dead – Whose Dead?

And why does the American Media view children only as disease vectors?

Michael Hiltzik of the LA Times has demanded we mock the deaths of the unvaccinated. They are “teachable examples”: ghoulish mockery as public pedagogy in presumed service of a greater good.

Should we also mock the deaths of those who died from the vaccine? I feel nothing but great sorrow for the family of Lisa Shaw, a 44 year-old mother, BBC Presenter, and otherwise healthy and lovely human being whose death was “clearly established” to have resulted from “vaccine-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia” [ref]. Since she was at such low risk from Covid mortality, this is a heart-breaking tragedy of unintended consequences.

Right now, we have an estimated 21K deaths related to vaccine complications.  Some authorities consider this a serious underestimation. Regardless, let’s agree not to mock the deaths of those who die from vaccination complications.

A question for Mr. Hiltzik and his admirers. Should we also mock the deaths of those who were fully vaccinated when they died while Covid-positive?  

Or, does our mockery of unvaccinated also include the 100,000s of Americans who likely would NOT have died IF –  if our public health officials had focused also on therapeutics, and not solely on a faulty vaccine?   

Kim Iversen gets this one right.  It’s worth your time, dear reader: at least until about 6 minutes in, when Ryan Grim begins submissively urinating to express his support for a failing status quo.

But months ago, the medical professional Dr. Mollie James, an ICU doctor who has treated hundreds of patients with Covid, also got this right. Her discussion with the independent journalist Alison Morrow on the necessity for early treatment is also worth your time.  (This interview on Locals, not YouTube, as Ivermectin was discussed).

Please keep in mind that Dr. James was also helping patients with Covid before the vaccines were available. During this period, many people died with or from Covid. So hence these people died unvaccinated. Mock them as well?

But why – again – are we mocking the Covid dead at all?  Don Lemon seems to understand Michael Hiltzik: it’s the unvaccinated.  We’re mocking bad people who died because they were bad. Or stupid, as Don Lemon claims – and he must know stupid.  (Mirror, mirror on the wall).

Their mutual antagonists: people who fail to meet the ever-shifting definition of “fully vaccinated.” Now two shoots, and two boosters.  Even though the vaccines and boosters do NOT prevent infection, and do NOT prevent transmission.  So one vaccination that actually works for polio or smallpox or measles.  But now four vaccination attempts and counting for what currently presents itself as a common cold.

Israel set the definition for “fully vaccinated” – and now Israel is walking away from it. But the USA under Biden is doubling down on it.

Okay. Here’s the anti-Don Lemon. Tricia Lindsay. An intelligent, informed black American woman. If you have five minutes – just five minutes  – please listen to Tricia Lindsay speak on the rights of the unvaccinated in the USA. Not asking you to agree. I have my differences with some of Lindsay’s claims. Just listen.

Btw, medical authorities globally are giving up on boosting our way out of a pandemic that is now increasingly endemic. No longer a pandemic – not after Omicron peaks.  The USA, however, is going backwards and into darkness.

So yet again, why are we mocking the Covid dead at all?  This is the language used to dehumanize, to demonize. To turn our fellow citizens into OTHER. To justify purges, lockdowns, and violence against the OTHER. This is the language – or rather, part of the toolkit – that enables pogroms, ethnic cleansing, internment camps, gulags, civil wars.

We’ve given up on compassion. On understanding. On co-existence. On thriving together. We seek only to ridicule, humiliate, isolate, and destroy.

This is what Michael Hiltzik and Don Lemon are promoting. In the past two years under Covid, we have seen arguably the greatest wealth transfer in human history: from the middle class and the working class to the ultra-rich. Understandably, we have some elites who might prefer that the “pandemic” never end.  They have empowered supporters.

We have a horde of self-made enforcers, celebrities and would-be celebrities, pundits and would-be pundits, on legacy and social media. These enforcers are verbally abusing and calling for social restrictions against anyone who – for whatever reasons – does not comply with the ever-shifting definition of “fully vaccinated.” The targets now include children.

There is no medical or public health case for vaccinating the vast, vast majority of children against Omicron. None.

But we are told: “Imagine if  an elderly immune-compromised Grandmother dies because her grandchild was not vaccinated.”  Really?  So this means the vaccinations did not protect Grandmother.  Because we already know the vaccinations cannot prevent infection or stop transmission. (Btw, incredibly unlikely that Grandmother would die from Omicron – an upper respiratory infection similar to the common cold).

Okay, now imagine this alternative scenario. The grandchild suffers disabling side-effects, or even dies, from vaccine complications. The elderly immune-compromised Grandmother lives on another six months or even two years. Fair trade?  Maybe we should ask the Grandmother her opinion before we mandate that all her grandchildren be vaccinated.  Maybe we should give families and parents a choice.

So about our second scenario: if the vaccines work to prevent severe illness, the Grandmother should have nothing to worry about.  If the vaccines do not work, the Grandmother should not want to expose her grandchildren to the vaccine complications.

Guess which scenario is more likely. The one pushed by the MSM, or the one immediately described above?

What is this all about, really?

I’ve told members of my family in the USA this: “You are being manipulated into participating in a civil war for which you are not prepared, and from which you will not benefit.”

A civil war for which you are not prepared, and from which you will not benefit.

In other words, to start, stop trusting CNN and MSNBC. My family members for most part have taken the blue pill. They wake up in the morning, and believe whatever the MSM tells them.  

Even as inflation, the threat of criminal violence, and the threat of loss of employment make their daily lives increasingly at hazard. One group resides in an East Coast city which set a record for homicides last year; the other group resides in a West Coast city which also set a record for homicides last year. But none of my family members seem currently able to connect the dots.

To help with this, I would gladly buy everyone in the USA that I care for a copy of Victor David Hanson’s The Dying Citizen. But I wonder: how many of these people would bother reading it?

So I am wrong about my fellow Americans in one sense.  They are being well prepared for a civil war thanks to the efforts of Michael Hiltzik, Don Lemon, Nicolle Wallace, and many others.
